Call for Help — Letter from the Careers Advisor

The Association has received a letter from the Marist College Eastwood Careers Advisor requesting assistance from Old Boys in securing work experience placements for Year 10 students.

Finding enough appropriate positions for the full Year 10 cohort has proven challenging, and the school is reaching out to the Old Boys community for support.

How You Can Help

If you are in a position to offer a work experience placement — whether for a week or a few days — this is a direct and meaningful way to give back to current students. Even a brief placement can provide an invaluable window into a profession for a fifteen or sixteen year old choosing their path.

Fields of particular interest include law, engineering, medicine, finance, and the arts — but placements in any professional setting are welcome.

Old Boys who can assist are encouraged to contact the Association at [email protected], and the full letter from the Careers Advisor with further details is available on request.

This is one of the practical ways the Association connects current students with the broader Marist community — mentorship by example, at the beginning of a career.
